How to Book
Our appointments open in a phased and staggered manner and patients are encouraged to phone the practice on 01294 211993 from 0830 each day when we open to get access to the appointments. Phoning in or coming into the reception desk are the two current methods. We offer a range of same-day, 24-hour in advance, 48-hour in advance and 72-hour in advance appointments. Generally, the first available same day morning appointment is 1005 and the first available same day afternoon appointment is 1500.
The medical receptionist will ask you some questions related to the nature of your medical concern. This information is vital to ensure that you receive an appointment from the appropriate clinician.
Please do not present at the reception desk to request urgent medical attention, unless you have been asked to attend by a member of the clinical team. The reception staff are following the instructions of the GP Partners. If it is a medical emergency such as chest pain or stroke you should call “999”.

Our Policy about Failing to Attend
We are pleased to hear from you, but not 10 minutes after you have missed your appointment! Please cancel any unneeded consultations as soon as you can, but a minimum of 1 hour before the appointment. It is practice policy that, if you fail to attend 3 appointments or 30 minutes worth of appointments in the space of a year, or a new patient appointment or medical, or at doctors discretion, we reserve the right to contact you to advise you of this and how this breaks down the special relationship you need to have with your doctor. After that, any further failures to attend are monitored, and will mostly result in a final warning and then a patient being invited to seek GP services elsewhere.
Special Requirements
Please let us know if you have any special requirements before attending the surgery. Also, if we have not seen you for 3 years or more, (or 12 months if you are over 75), we will ask you about your general health in order to update our records.
