Appointment System
Bourtreehill Medical Practice offers a range of pre-bookable telephone or face-to-face appointments from 24, 48 and 72 hours in advance as well as same day appointments. We encourage patients to call the practice on 01294 211993 from 08:30 am each day when the appointments become available.
Please note our phone lines are open from 08:30 am until 12:15 pm and re-open at 13:30 pm until 16:45 pm.
The medical receptionist will ask you some questions related to the nature of your medical concern. This information is vital to ensure that you receive an appointment from the appropriate clinician.
Please do not present at the reception desk to request urgent medical attention, unless you have been asked to attend by a member of the clinical team. The reception staff are following the instructions of the GP Partners. If it is a medical emergency such as chest pain or stroke you should call “999”.
Extended Hours
We are able to offer pre-booked early morning appointments with the Doctor for patients that find it difficult to attend the surgery during normal working hours.
Please be aware that there is limited availability of these appointments therefore we kindly ask that those who are able to attend during normal surgery hours do not request these appointments.
Appointments for the extended access service are booked by calling the surgery reception.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
If you no longer need or cannot attend your appointment then please cancel it as soon as possible by contacting the practice.
Patients who continually book appointments and fail to attend will receive a warning letter with the prospect of being removed from the practice list if this persists.
